Is Your Supply Chain Ready for the Holiday Season? | November 2017

Yes, it's here again, the holiday season is fast approaching and it's time to consider your logistics solutions over this period.

Are you receiving or sending cargo internationally?

If you are closed over the Christmas period and are sending or receiving shipments, it is important to advise us and send documents prior to your closure.

For FCL shippers, it is important to be aware of the high demurrage charges from shipping companies. If you are closed for more than one week it may be cost effective to have us arrange an unpack and storage of your cargo at our premises.

If there are large amounts of import GST, duty or freight that we may have to pay on your behalf over the Christmas season, you will be required to contact your account representative and discuss financial arrangements over this period.

Are you sending freight domestically?

Each year we have situations where we arrange deliveries to find out some customers are already closed for the holiday period or have reduced hours.

Please advise us of your operating hours over this period – please fill out this handy form and send it back to us.

We would also advise you to check with your own customers in advance of when they will be open and closed over this period. It is important that you are noting your receivers operating hours on consignments prior to sending the freight.

Any assistance you can give us is appreciated to ensure we deliver the best service to you and your customers.

Do you have products in our warehouse?

Stocktakes: many customers have already notified us of their stocktake requirements due before December 31st. Please contact us with your requests as soon as possible if you have not already done so. Based on current notifications some dates may already be fully booked due to resource commitments.

Special requirements over the short working weeks should be notified to us as soon as possible so that we can plan/allocate adequate resources to the task.
